A junior silver explorer did a financing at $0.075 per share and included a full warrant. Each warrant allowed the investor to buy another share in the future at $0.11. Within 8 months they drilled into a big discovery and shares more than tripled to $0.25. Financing investors could then use their warrants to buy more shares at the $0.11 price, and lock in the difference.
On $10,000, investors earned an extra $18,666 of profit. Total gains with warrants were $41,999, rather than $23,333 with shares only—80% more!

There are two basic requirements to participate in this service.
The paperwork you complete for the company will require that you attest you are an accredited investor, as well as how you qualify. The link has the details, and note the requirements can change from time to time, but currently the two most common ways to qualify are 1) an annual income over $200,000, or $300,000 for joint income, over the last two years with the expectation of earning the same or a higher income in the current year; or 2) a net worth that exceeds $1,000,000, excluding the primary residence. Requirements for Canadian investors are similar.
For better or worse, regulators basically want to ensure that you are financially stable, and knowledgeable about the risk you are undertaking. These are admittedly high-risk ventures, and not all work out.
The minimum to participate in a private placement is usually CAD$10,000. You can sometimes invest more, but orders under CAD$10,000 generally aren’t accepted.

We’ll alert you to each opportunity by email, outlining the investment case of the company, the financing details and deadline, and what our allocation might be (we may or may not be given a specific number).
On some occasions, we’ll ask you to tell us how much you would like to invest in that particular opportunity (if we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume you’re not interested in that financing).
The reason for this is because companies want to know how much cash is coming in, and also because we want to be sure to reserve enough capital for our subscribers. Placements, especially the better ones, can get crowded quickly. Sometimes a large investor can be cut back, too, so it’s important that if you’re interested that you reply if we ask you to. We’ll make that clear at the time.
You’ll be given the contact info for the company representative, and they will send the documents and wire instructions directly to you.
